COVID-19 in Australia, explained in numbers and charts
With NSW and Victoria having been in lockdown for weeks, the COVID-19 situation in other Aussie states such as Queensland and the ACT is worsening as the Delta strain eludes health authorities.
In fact, every state in Australia has at least two active cases of the novel coronavirus, bar the island state of Tasmania.
Today alone, NSW has set a new daily record high of 1,533 new cases, while Victoria recorded 190 new cases.
