The Costello Commission of audit's interim report on how Queensland's AAA credit rating should be restored, will be handed to the state government on Friday.
The commission, led by former federal treasurer Peter Costello, will report on the state's finances.
The document will also contain recommendations on what the government should do to restore Queensland's AAA credit rating.
The commission has been monitoring the financial performance of government corporations, and working out ways to improve their operational performance and financial returns.
The government will not necessarily make any of the recommendations publicly available.
A final report is due in February next year.
