Major bank app suffers iPhone crashes
CommBank customers with iPhones have been left frustrated on Tuesday morning as the bank’s app suffers repeated issues.
Some users complained of “constant app crashes” when opening the mobile banking app and difficulty making payments.
“We are aware that some of our customers with iPhones may be experiencing issues accessing the CommBank app. If you are encountering this issue, try temporarily turning off location services,” the bank said in a statement on Twitter.

“How to turn off location services for the CommBank app: On your iPhone go to Settings app > go to CommBank app > Change location from “Always” to “Never”.”
The app was restored to normal by 9:30am AEST.
“We are aware there was an issue earlier this morning impacting some customers access to the CommBank app through their iPhone. Full service was restored shortly after and we apologise to those customers for the inconvenience caused," the bank said in a statement to Yahoo Finance.
It comes after the CommBank app and NetBank website suffered an outage in late April.
