Believe it or not, my skin has become more stressed in quarantine than it ever was when I was a teenager. On the bright side, I discovered Masquebar’s Shield & Soothe Hydrogel Mask to protect my skin from my face mask.

While the hydrogel mask has only been on the market since November, it’s dubbed the Best Face Mask of 2020 by Hollywood Life. Shoppers can swipe the hydrogel mask on Amazon as well, where it has 4 out of five stars. One shopper explained how it’s a mess-free mask.

“It’s not a wet consistency either,” they wrote. “The good stuff is infused in the gel, so it’s a mess-free experience. It doesn’t leave behind any excess goo as some sheet masks do. I have sensitive skin, and this mask did not annoy or irritate my skin.”

Another shopper said that it’s ideal for people wearing it under a mask rather than part of a skincare routine.

“I like this mask, and I like using it, but I’m not sure if I’d keep getting it since you’re essentially only getting half of a sheet mask,” the shopper noted.
“Might as well get something that costs about the same for my whole face, ya know? But it’s really a preference thing, and if you need more targeted care around your mask area, this is something to help with that.”

    (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Justice Department will be required to end its use of privately run prisons under an executive order to be signed Tuesday by President Joe Biden.Biden will instruct the attorney general not to renew contracts with private prison operators, according to a White House statement.“Private prisons profiteer off of federal prisoners in less safe conditions for prisoners and correctional officers alike,” the statement said. “President Biden is committed to reducing mass incarceration while making our communities safer.”The move may impact the country’s two largest operators of private prisons, GEO Group Inc. and CoreCivic Inc., which saw their share prices gain significantly after former President Donald Trump was elected in 2016. Trump ended an Obama-era prohibition on the Justice Department’s use of private prisons.Both companies’ shares fell on the news. GEO Group erased a gain to trade down 15% as of 1:54 p.m. in New York. CoreCivic fell 9.7%.Contracts with government agencies accounted for about 56% of GEO Group’s 2019 consolidated revenue. Payments by federal correctional and detention authorities made up 51% of CoreCivic’s 2019 revenue, according to company filings.State BusinessGEO and CoreCivic have sought to diversify from federal contracts by signing deals with states to build and operate prisons.The executive order on prisons applies to Justice Department contracts with privately operated criminal detention facilities.
