Yahoo Finance College student reveals how she works 5 jobs while also getting her master’s: ‘Are you OK?’
It seems hard enough to work one job while getting a master’s degree.
But for at least one college student on TikTok, one job sounds like nothing.
In a now-viral post, a user named @bug318_ shared how she’s working five different jobs, while taking grad school classes. The video instantly sparked a slew of questions from commenters — including, “Are you OK?”

The clip is just the latest in a series of popular posts, in which TikTokers have gotten deeply transparent about their college lives.
In one video, a group of med school students revealed how much debt they were going to graduate with. In another, a Google employee shared how he recovered from a 1.2 GPA and ultimately landed his dream job.
The post from @bug318_ shared another type of insight — a look into just how busy some college students are.
“I actually have five jobs,” the TikToker says. “And I’m taking two master’s classes this summer.”
She goes on to detail each job, most of which are part-time roles. On top of her classes, @bug318_ works as a nanny, a basketball trainer, a writer’s assistant and a grad assistant for her college’s basketball team. Additionally, she runs her own business selling secondhand clothes online.
The TikToker then explains why she does so much.
“The long answer is because I went through a breakup in late march, and I just knew I wanted to stay busy this summer,” she says. “So now I just work a lot of jobs. It keeps me busy, and it keeps me distracted from my midlife crisis I was going through.”

At the end of the clip, @bug318_ says that the jobs have greatly improved her emotional state over the course of the summer.
Although some TikTokers were confused by @bug318_’s schedule, most were just downright impressed.
“I already stress with one job how do you do so much?” one user asked.
“Girl props to you!” another added. “I have 2 jobs, one full-time babysitter and I work part-time at the movies and it’s exhausting me. Idk how you do it.”
Recent research shows that about 70% of college students balance some kind of job with classes. The majority of those students work between 15 and 35 hours per week.
