Half-price specials: Coles, Woolworths' best deals this week

Australia's two big supermarket chains, Coles and Woolworths, both have a range of products they sell at 50 per cent off each week.

Lucky for you, Yahoo Finance does the running around for you every week to round up the best half-price deals from both stores here in one place so that you can decide where to shop.

The grocery industry already runs on low margins, so these deals would earn very little money for Woolworths and Coles.

But they put them on so to lure customers into their store, where they are likely to purchase other items at full price to complete their weekly shop.

These items are on sale Wednesday August 21 and will be half-price until Tuesday August 27 inclusive:
