Cole Hauser Just Confirmed That 'Yellowstone' Will Be Back for Season 5

We're getting closer and closer to all-new Yellowstone episodes.

Even though we're just a few months out from the season 4 release, Paramount Network still hasn't dropped a trailer or images that hint about what's next on Dutton Ranch. At this point, all we know is that "revenge will be worth the wait" — according to the show's latest teaser.

More and more, the cast is dropping clues about what we can expect in the much-anticipated season. First, Kelly Reilly revealed to Esquire that Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser) aren't at "the happy ending stage yet" — even though they had a "glimmer of happiness" in the previous season. Then Cole Hauser teased that "everybody's in danger" following the attacks on Beth, Kayce (Luke Grimes) and John Dutton (Kevin Costner). And now, Cole is spilling details about the season 4 finale and how it leads to an exciting fifth season — yep, you read that right.

During a virtual happy hour hosted by Hall Wine, Cole confirmed that he's gearing up to head back to Montana for season 5. He remained tight-lipped about his character's reaction to the events in last summer' s finale, but he did reveal that season 4 ends on a high note, setting up a "wonderful" fifth season. "The way we ended season 4, I can't give too much away, but the way season 4 ends I think the audience ... I think you'll be happily surprised with a lot of things," he told Kathryn Hall.

Naturally, this comment has caused Yellowstone fans to come up with a myriad of questions: Does this mean Beth and Rip get married? Do the Dutton siblings put their differences aside? What about Jamie's baby? Does this mean that John finds a way to keep his ranch? The list goes on.

While his statement may have us wanting more, let's not forget about the bombshell that he just dropped: Yellowstone is, in fact, coming back for season 5. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise since the show's creator Taylor Sheridan has previously mentioned that he expects the show to air for at least six seasons, but it's super exciting to hear it straight one of the show's leads.
