Investing.com - Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) reported third quarter earnings that matched analysts' expectations on Friday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $0.56 on revenue of $9.51B. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of $0.56 on revenue of $9.45B. That compared to EPS of $0.58 on revenue of $8.26B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $0.63 on revenue of $10B in the previous quarter.

Coca-Cola follows other major Consumer/Non-Cyclical sector earnings this month

On October 3, PepsiCo reported third quarter EPS of $1.56 on revenue of $17.19B, compared to forecasts of EPS of $1.5 on revenue of $16.93B.
