Ready to start your new side-hustle, but not sure where to begin?

You’re off to a head-start if you have the right skills under your belt.

According to new data from Airtasker, the right skills will see you paid more – and those working in building or construction have the biggest advantage, earning US$207 (AU$295) on average per task, followed by those with electrical or design skills.

Handymen are also high on the list, earning on average AU $202 per task.

On the other end of the scale, inspection, writing and tutor skills were less highly priced.
