C.H. Robinson Worldwide tops 4Q earnings and revenue expectations
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) _ C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. (CHRW) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $122.3 million.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based company said it had profit of 86 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 84 cents per share.
The trucking company posted revenue of $3.41 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.34 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $513.4 million, or $3.59 per share. Revenue was reported as $13.14 billion.
C.H. Robinson shares have increased almost 4 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed roughly 2 percent. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $76.06, a rise of 17 percent in the last 12 months.
