Bunnings shopper reveals how to get the cheapest cleaning products: 'You’re throwing away money’
Buy your cleaning items from Woolworths or Coles? You could grab a better deal at Bunnings, one shopper says.
A Bunnings customer has revealed her trick to saving big on everyday cleaning products, but you’ll have to say goodbye to the supermarket giants.
Perth mum and nurse Cassandra Davidson is urging shoppers to head to Bunnings to grab deals on their laundry detergent and dishwashing tablets.
“If you aren’t buying cleaning products from Bunnings, you’re throwing away money,” Cassandra said in a video posted to TikTok.

“I go and grab the dishwashing tablets, they work out to be 36 cents each, which is a 24 cents saving [compared to Woolworths] or you get 10 more for $8 less.”
Woolworths and Coles vs Bunnings: Which is cheaper?
The catch is the savings often come from buying the products in bulk. For example, Finish Quantum Dishwashing Tablets will set you back $30 for a pack of 50 at Woolworths but, at Bunnings, the price is currently $21.95 for a bigger pack of 60 tablets.
Fairy Platinum Plus Dishwashing Tablets will cost you $56 for a pack of 42 at Coles but, if you head to Bunnings, the price is $44.80 for a bigger 84 pack.

Cassandra also said she was saving big on laundry detergent, pointing out the prices on OMO products.
OMO Active Clean Laundry Powder 2kg currently costs $14 on sale at Woolworths (or $7 per kilo) and $19.60 on sale at Coles ($9.80 per kilo). At Bunnings, you can get a 6kg box for $40.90 ($6.81 per kilo).
A number of Aussies thanked Cassandra for the savings tip, with one calling it a “bargain” and another saying they “need to do this”.
“I've been buying from Bunnings for a few years now and recommend to all my friends. It's by far a money saver and still great products,” one said.
Others recommended shoppers head to the Reject Shop or Aldi for dishwashing tablets and washing detergent to get even better deals. At Aldi, for example, the Logix Platinum Dishwashing Tablets are $7.49 for a pack of 40.
“Dishwashing tablets and washing powder still cheaper at Reject Shop! I brought 6kg washing powder for $12 last week,” one said.
“Chemist Warehouse is good for cleaning products too! Especially if you’re after brands like Ecostore, always cheaper than Woolies,” another shopper said.
