In the series $1K Dream Room, host Will Taylor uses a modest budget of $1,000 to turn drab spaces into dream apartments.

In this episode of $1K Dream Room, Will Taylor of Bright Bazaar is on a mission to transform Steph’s home office into a productive working space with a laid-back, California vibe to it.

The Brooklyn home office is small, so Taylor has his work cut out for him. It’s a good thing the room is square — he can play with symmetry in the space. With just $1,000 and one day, Taylor sets out to give this room more personality, warmth and color.

When it comes to small spaces, it can be tempting to want to hide everything away, especially in a small storage cabinet. But this tactic will actually make your room feel smaller. Taylor’s tip is to find shelves with glass doors and use stylish baskets for storing.

Thanks to a touch of greenery with faux plants, natural textures and comforting colors, Steph’s office ends up with a gorgeous transformation.
