Broncos, Phillip Lindsay think his 'Madden 20' avi looks nothing like him — and they're right

Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay has something in common with rookie Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Neither is happy with the makers of “Madden 20.”

On Wednesday, the Broncos tweeted to the account for EA Sports’ Madden game Twitter page, saying, “We need to talk.”

There was a video attached of Broncos players talking to Dustin Smith, the man who adjusts player ratings for the über-successful franchise. Smith was at the Broncos’ facility, giving players a chance to talk to him directly with their complaints.

Most players, of course, were unhappy with some aspect of their player rating, whether their overall rating or an aspect of their game they think is better than what Smith had rated.

Lindsay, however, had a different gripe.

Who is that?

Kingsbury indicated last month his game avi wasn’t handsome enough and said that it made him look like a character in “The Walking Dead,” which was a bit of a stretch in our opinion. (You can see it here.)

But Lindsay’s avi, as it is currently, truly looks nothing like him.

Here’s a screen grab, courtesy of that Broncos’ video:

To start with, that character doesn’t look black, which Lindsay is. Also, he has a great head of curly brown hair, not a Caesar style.

Really, who is that above? Because it’s not the Pro Bowl back.

Some players’ complaints about “Madden” are silly, but Lindsay very much has a case.

Smith assured Lindsay that he’s seen the fix, it’s much better, and the game will be updated within the next couple of weeks.
