Yahoo Finance Sources: Broncos 2nd-round QB Drew Lock signs deal, won't miss time
The Denver Broncos, who will be playing in the Hall of Fame game and have a rookie head coach, are one of four teams who technically open training camp on Wednesday, with all players expected to report to the team facility.
Second-round rookie quarterback Drew Lock was reportedly a no-show to start camp. But sources told Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson, along with other media outlets, that he has since signed a deal and won’t miss any time.

Terms of the deal are not yet known for the 42nd pick in this year’s draft.
Report: Drew Lock, agent sought ‘QB premium’
According to 9News reporter Mike Klis and The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala, Lock and his agent, Tom Condon, were seeking a “QB premium” to his contract.
One problem: the collective-bargaining agreement doesn’t allow for players to sign contracts that go above the prescribed maximum for their draft slot. Via overthecap.com, that amount for Lock is $7.01 million over four years.
But they can negotiate the guaranteed money.
Players can sign a waiver for rookie minicamps to protect themselves in case of injury, but they can’t do that for training camp.
Lock needs camp snaps
As a second-round pick, the Broncos would prefer Lock to be the top backup to Joe Flacco once the regular season starts and to get a lot of snaps in preseason games.
With a deal in place, he’ll be able to fill that role.
