Labor Upper House MP Craig Farrell wants to ensure property owners in the path of the proposed new Bridgewater Bridge get a fair deal.
The Federal Government is providing $6.4 million to 15 land owners in Bridgewater and Granton who have two dozen titles between them.
Mr Farrell says he will meet owners to discuss their rights.
"There are several issues that need to be addressed with the construction of the new bridge that is the individual land owners' rights in acquiring the land," he said.
If the property owners do not sell their land it will be compulsorily acquired.
