Bride's sister gets proposed to during wedding: 'This says so much about her'

A bride allowed another proposal to happen on her wedding day. Now the internet has thoughts.

Wedding and event videographers Chiola Films shared the viral footage on TikTok. A bride happily assisted with her sister’s surprise engagement proposal. But not everyone thought it was ideal.

“Sister of the bride had no idea this was happening!” the caption stated.

The bridesmaids lined up in anticipation. The bride was ready to toss the bouquet behind her. But instead of throwing it, she turned around and walked straight to her sister. The bride handed her the bouquet.

Then suddenly her sister’s boyfriend appeared. He got down on one knee with the ring box — and the rest is history.

The clever proposal racked up 26.7 million views and 2.4 million likes on TikTok. As always, other people’s wedding choices proved to be divisive in the comment section.

“I love that you shared your spotlight with your sis!” a user said.

“Oh, nah! Bride’s approval or not! The proposing man should have some respect and fortitude to do this on his own!” another wrote.

“What a classy bride. This says so much about her. Absolutely love this!” a TikToker replied.

“That’s cute that she wanted to share her special day but maybe the lady who got engaged didn’t! Maybe she wanted her own special proposal!” someone commented.

“People want the bride to be mad because they are,” a person added.
