Bride-to-be stunned by TikTok's response to her bachelorette party: 'This is insane'

A bride decided to ask TikTok to buy her drinks at her bachelorette party and it surprisingly paid off.

Alyssa Harris sells DIY wedding supplies on Etsy, so when it was time for her own bachelorette party, she knew she had to get creative.

She posted a video of her friend Ashleigh Head writing a message on the back of her van.

“Last fling before the ring. Buy the bride a drink,” the message read. It also included Harris’ Venmo handle.

The video received over 7.2 million views. Then Harris posted a follow-up TikTok with the total amount of money the bachelorette party received.

“Sharing our Venmo total after our weekend celebrating thanks to all of you! We thought we would make a few hundred dollars max, but you guys blew us away,” the video caption said. “In total, you sent $3,393.89. TikTok will always blow me away with the generosity.”

Harris made over $3,000 on TikTok just by asking for money. Lots of people in the comments were eager to try her method.

“Might have to write my Venmo on my windows now. $3,000 for classroom supplies would be a dream,” one person commented.

“This is insane!” another wrote.

“So fun. I should do this on my car but to see if anybody would support a tired mom’s coffee needs,” a user said.
