McDonalds is giving away Big Macs – here’s how to get them
McDonalds has teamed up with AFL’s Richmond Football Club to give away free Big Macs.
The giveaway is part of the ‘MyMaccas App Guernsey Giveaway’, which celebrates Richmond’s win over Geelong, that sees fans vie for the chance to win a 2021 Richmond Playing Guernsey valued at nearly $120.
But there’s a catch: in order to get the Big Mac, you’ll have to sign up to that competition.
Then, using the same email and phone number, you’ll have to download and sign up to the MyMaccas app to claim the Big Mac.
However, the burger won’t be available to claim until 23 December.
Yahoo Finance has asked McDonalds and Richmond Football Club for comment.
There aren’t many other details about how to claim that Big Mac – but OzBargain forum user ‘tightarse’ took a stab at it.
“I can only assume the Big Mac voucher will be either (1) emailed to the address you provide, or (2) sent to the MyMacca's App on the mobile device that matches the number you provide on the entry form,” the user said.
Win $10,000 cash
McDonalds also has another promotion going, the ‘Summer Cash Giveaway’ that sees 10 Aussies win $10,000 cash every day in December.
All you have to do is spend $10 or more in a single transaction, and then check your receipt for a unique 18-character code.
Then you have to fill out an online form to go into the draw.
If you’re ordering through the MyMaccas app, the entry is automatically created for you.
The list of winners is published here.
