Best deals on Valentine's Day flowers and chocolates

Valentine's Day is now a bigger deal in Australia than it used to be, so you might have a partner who's expecting some nice flowers or chocolates on Friday.

With such occasions some opportunistic pricing can be seen, especially for fresh flowers.

Fortunately, all three supermarkets – Woolworths, Aldi and Coles – have come to the rescue with some budget-friendly deals for both flowers and boxed chocolates.

Yahoo Finance has spotted the following bargains that might help you for the big day.

Aldi's Valentine's Day deals

Aldi has exactly one Valentine's Day bargain – but it's a good one.

The budget supermarket, on Thursday, will be selling a dozen roses for just $19.99. As a contrast, Interflora is selling a bouquet of one dozen red roses for $166.15.

It's a great deal from Aldi, but these roses have caused a furore on social media.

Woolworths' Valentine's Day deals

Woolworths outlets are selling these flowers from Wednesday to Friday inclusive.
