This week, London’s high-fashion society has been back at it.

Celebrations for the SS22 LFW week season kicked off with a bang at The Windmill Soho on Thursday night. The British Fashion Council co-hosted the opening bash with Naomi Campbell, who was joined by British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and BFC CEO Caroline Rush.

Packed into the cabaret venue, crowds were treated to a performance by Mabel and DJ set by Jodie Harsh as they rubbed shoulders with Sabrina Dhowre Elba and model Jordan Barrett.

On Friday, Matches Fashion hosted a drinks do at their 5 Carlos Place flagship, where guests including Harris Reed and Henry Holland sipped cucumber cocktails and perused rails packed full of this season’s collections.

Meanwhile across town, Grace Jones was taking to the stage at the inaugural ‘Icons Gala’ in aid of NHS charities together and Well Child, a red carpet affair that rolled out at The Landmark Hotel.

The evening included a selection of runway shows, the highlight being sustainability-centric Central Martins Graduate Patrick McDowell, and was enjoyed by a crowd including Rod Stewart and Eyal Booker.

Katie Grand’s new publication, Perfect Magazine, celebrated the week in incredible style with the recently opened hot spot hotel NoMad London in Covent Garden. After a private dinner hosted by Christopher Kane and enjoyed by the likes of Alexa Chung and Courtney Love, guests rushed to the dance floor where Nick Grimshaw and Fat Tony entertained.

Lady Kitty Spencer and twin sisters Amelia and Eliza arrived in sleek, coordinated black tailoring, and were joined by model Adowa Abloh and Olympic athlete Dina Asher-Smith, who both beamed in dresses by Supriya Lele.

DJ Fat Tony had a busy week. He was up again for the BFC’s ‘Dinner on the Catwalk’ event hosted at the TikTok Showspace, which was the Oxford Street hub of this week’s collections. The room, which has been the setting for shows including Nensi Dojaka and Labrum London, was transformed into a candle-lit space for an insider-only affair.

The f’row has also been on fire. Erdem, who held his show under the pillars of the British Museum on Sunday, earned a rare appearance from Anna Wintour, who was joined by drag star Bimini Bon Boulash and model Kristen McMenamy. The day after, snug in booths at Berkeley Square restaurant Amazonico, OSMAN showed his latest designs to a set headed up by Jourdan Dunn and Kehlani. And closing the week on Tuesday afternoon, Richard Quinn put on a typically floral display, complete with bows, bonnets and plenty of pearl embroidery. Lila Moss opened the show, and was cheered on by her mother Kate who sat with Jordan Barrett, Boy George and Erin O’Connor in the most star studded audience of them all.

And festivities took flight on Monday night at The Standard hotel, a LFW favourite. Squeezed into their 10th Floor Decimo restaurant, complete with views stretching across the city, Dazed, Fashion East and Browns joined forces to host a mega-party. Iris Law, Shygirl and Mia Regan grabbed cocktails from a bustling bar, and danced hard under exploding confetti until close at 2pm.

It’s been a big week, even by pre-lockdown standards, but the hangovers can’t last too long. Milan Fashion Week is fast approaching.
