The best Aldi specials this week

Australia just can't resist the lure of Aldi, to the annoyance of Woolworths and Coles.

The budget supermarket has managed to ingrain a perception of consistently low prices among the Australian public. This is despite evidence that it's not factually true.

The tactic has been successful, with research last year indicating local shoppers have "an emotional connection" to Aldi. Coles and Woolworths can only dream of such loyalty.

For your convenience, Yahoo Finance each week selects the most alluring of Aldi's specials so you can plan your visit.

Don't forget Aldi's grocery discounts – named Super Savers – are never discounted as much as Coles and Woolworths' half-price specials. But the prices are reduced from a lower level to start with.
