The results are unsurprising given trust in the financial services sector began declining soon after the banking Royal Commission was announced in late 2018.

By the first quarter of 2019, trust in the banking sector had fallen to 28.3 per cent from 60.8 per cent a year prior, according to data from business intelligence firm Core Data.

But the data also shows that the Royal Commission also negatively impacted trust in other sectors, such as government, real estate, and media.

Do you know which Aussie supermarket comes out on top?

Coles has won the supermarket war in the Trusted Brand Survey for this year, maintaining its spot from 2018. Last year, its competitors Aldi and Woolworths were awarded ‘highly commended’ spots.

This superannuation fund trumps the rest

Like Coles, AustralianSuper has managed to retain its title in its respective category of the most trusted superannuation fund from last year.

Australia’s favourite retailer revealed

Bunnings has been named as the country’s most trusted retailer – again. Last year’s runners-up to Bunnings were JB Hi-Fi and Kmart.
