How do you quantify the wealth of a country?

One of the factors that gets considered is how safe it is for women.

And according to a recent report by global market research firm New World Wealth, Australia’s got the best track record in the world for providing a safe environment for the fairer sex, with pleasing implications for the nation’s trajectory.

“Woman safety is one of the best ways to gauge a country’s long term wealth growth potential, with a correlation of over 90 per cent between historic wealth growth and woman safety levels,” the report said.

“This means that wealth growth is boosted by strong levels of woman safety in a country.”

After Australia, the second-safest country in the world for women is Malta, followed by Iceland, New Zealand, and Canada.

“Most of the countries in our top five are also popular destinations for migrating high net-worth individuals,” the report said.

“Also, most of them have experienced strong wealth growth over the past 20 years.”
