Aussie tech giant gives away $400 income-boost courses

The coronavirus epidemic has seen many Australians lose their jobs or take reduced pay, but technology giant Atlassian is helping out.

The largest tech company to come out of Australia is giving away five online courses for $0.

"In support of everyone who is learning new ways of working, Atlassian University is proud to offer our popular On Demand, Cloud Training courses for free during the month of May 2020," the company stated.

"We encourage you to make this a time to focus on you — learn new skills, refresh old ones, and build your confidence using Atlassian’s powerful team collaboration software."

Yahoo Finance contacted Atlassian to confirm how much the courses are worth normally, but the company did not respond.

Online forums suggest each course is worth around $300 to $400.

Although the offer is only on for another five days, once enrolled the lessons last for 30 days.

The five course all relate to Atlassian's popular Jira software, which is widely used in corporate environments around the world for issue tracking and project management:

  • Jira Essentials (Cloud)

  • Jira Essentials with Agile Mindset (Cloud)

  • Jira and Confluence Together (Cloud)

  • Jira Administration Part 1 (Cloud)

  • Jira Administration Part 2 (Cloud)
