Good morning.

Here’s Yahoo Finance’s Tuesday morning wrap.

The ASX is expected to slide at the opening of trade, after miners powered the local bourse 1.47 per cent higher on Monday.

It comes as Wall Street eases from record levels, after nerves over the outcome of run-off elections in the US state of Georgia outweighed optimism over a vaccine-driven recovery in the global economy.

In early trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.60 per cent to 30,424.03, the S&P 500 lost 0.42 per cent to 3,740.25 and the Nasdaq Composite 0.27 per cent to 12,854.10.

Glitch: The messaging app used by schools and workplaces around the global, Slack, suffered a global outage on many peoples’ first day back at work.

The outage began around 2am AEDT on Tuesday, and disrupted service in the US, Germany, India, the UK, Japan and elsewhere.

Energy bills: The growth in renewable power generation has pushed down power bills, but a new report has warned that prices could go back up if the coal plant switch-off is not properly managed.

Selling your home? You might want to consider using your pet as a marketing ploy.

One homeowner has used their small dog in 30 of the 33 photos of their $2.2 million home in California - and it’s gaining traction.

Job hunting: If you’re looking for a career change in 2021, or simply just want a new job, there are a few things you can do to stand out from the crowd.

Here are four of them.

Robots take over: We’ve been told for years that AI will revolutionise the jobs industry, and robots will likely replace many jobs.

Here’s a look at how AI will change your career in 2021.

Have a great day.
