ASX to open lower as celebs with crypto ties named

Good morning.

ASX: The ASX is poised to start the week lower after a soft lead from Wall Street on Friday as materials and healthcare sectors dragged on the market.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed down 166.6 points, or 2.27 per cent, to 7175.8 points on Friday. The All Ordinaries index closed lower by 178.8 points, or 2.33 per cent, to 7490.1 points.

Wall Street: US indexes finished sharply lower on Friday after Netflix released a dismal earnings report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 450.02 points, or 1.3 per cent, to 34,265.37, the S&P 500 lost 84.79 points, or 1.89 per cent, to 4,397.94 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 385.10 points, or 2.72 per cent, to 13,768.92.
