Arsenal vs West Brom: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

(ES Composite)

Arsenal need to pick themselves up for the final games of the Premier League season as they welcome a West Brom side all but certain to be relegated.

Two lacklustre semi-final legs saw Villarreal reach the Europa League final and end Arsenal’s season ambitions, with Mikel Arteta now likely to oversee the club’s worst season in a generation as they last missed out on European qualification 25 years ago.

For West Brom, meanwhile, defeat will confirm their relegation - Sam Allardyce’s first as manager - while a point will leave them nine points adrift with three games to play before Burnley take on Fulham on Monday.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Arsenal vs West Brom is scheduled for a 7pm BST kick-off on Sunday, May 7, 2021.

Arsenal vs West Brom team news

Arsenal could be without Granit Xhaka after the midfielder pulled out just before kick-off on Thursday with muscle tightness, while Mat Ryan could start in goal. Gabriel Martinelli and Kieran Tierney will be hoping for a start after.

West Brom loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles is ineligible to face his parent club. Branislav Ivanovic and Robert Snodgrass are unlikely to feature for the remainder of the season.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 West Brom

Arsenal’s confidence has never been lower this season - which is saying something considering the campaign they have had - while West Brom will be valiantly - and fruitlessly - fighting against relegation.

Sam Allardyce will love nothing more than getting points off one of the supposed ‘Big Six’.
