Arsenal kickstarted their season with an impressive 3-1 win over Tottenham in the north London derby.

Goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka put the hosts clear in the opening 35 minutes to make it four wins on the bounce and leave Mikel Arteta and his players looking up.

Heung-min Son added a late consolation for Spurs but the result never felt in doubt as Arsenal earned the local bragging rights.

Aaron Ramsdale 8

Saved well from Son, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura, and started the move for Arsenal’s second goal by playing out. Couldn’t keep out Son’s late strike.

His energy and technical quality helped Arsenal to dominate the midfield and overrun their rivals but he lost Son for Spurs’ goal.

Set up Arsenal’s first and scored their third in his most impressive performance since the Euros.
