Armie Hammer responds to alleged sex text scandal: ‘Bullsh*t’
Armie Hammer has responded to alleged screenshots of explicit text messages that have been circulating online, saying claims he penned the disturbing messages are ‘bullsh*t’.
The actor was named by an anonymous women online, who shared a string of screenshots of text messages which discussed niche and violent sexual fetishes, rumours he described as ‘spurious online attacks’.
He also confirmed he would be pulling out of his upcoming film Shotgun Wedding alongside Jennifer Lopez, which was scheduled to commence filming shortly.
"I’m not responding to these bullsh*t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” Armie told TMZ.
“Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that."
Armie has been trending on social media for the past couple of days after screenshots of sexually explicit text messages were shared in which the author talks of cannibalism, drinking blood and violent animal and sexual abuse fantasies.
The anonymous accounts which shared the screenshots, as well as at least one photo of the actor they claim was sent exclusively to them, allege that Armie was the person behind the messages.
While Armie’s name and profile picture seem to be at the top of the messages, the screenshots have not been verified and Armie has, of course, described the general event as ‘spurious’ and ‘bullsh*t’.
The earliest messages date back to 2016 and the most recent seems to be from February 2020. During this time period, Armie was wed to TV personality Elizabeth Chambers.
Blood-drinking, cannibal references in alleged text messages
Dozens of screenshots of various text messages were first shared by Instagram account House of Effie and include references from the author to rape fantasies, BDSM, cannibalism and animal abuse.
Instagram account ‘truths.and.facts’ also shared screenshots and audio recordings. Both accounts have since been switched to private.
They have reportedly come from different women who ‘united’ to share the texts, though exactly how many are involved has not been confirmed.
“I am 100% a cannibal,” one message reads. “I want to eat you.”
In the same string of messages, the author also describes an act of animal abuse, writing: “I’ve cut the heart out of a living animal before and eaten it while still warm.”
In another message, the account threatens to decapitate the recipient if their wife finds out.
“Well very convenient of you to bring that up because if for some reason something goes wrong and my wife finds out I will probably remove your head from your body,” the message reads.
In several other messages, the author asks to drink the recipient’s blood.
“I need to drink your blood,” one message reads. “Why the distance?”
“I need your blood,” another message to a different recipient reads. “I crave it.”
Other messages are too graphic to be reprinted.
In response to the messages, most of the women call the sender ‘daddy’ and respond in subservient language.
The House of Effie Instagram account also shared images of Armie, one showing a selfie of the actor, they claim were sent to them exclusively by the actor.
