Ariz. jobless rate remains at 7.3 percent in March
Arizona unemployment rate remains at 7.3. percent in March; 9 of 11 sectors added jobs
PHOENIX (AP) -- State economists report that Arizona's unemployment rate was flat in March, remaining at 7.3 percent as the economy added 15,600 nonfarm jobs.
The Department of Administration says nine of 11 economic sectors added jobs during the month, while the other two sectors lost jobs.
The sector with the biggest gain was professional and business services, which added 7,300 jobs. Leisure and hospitality added 5,400 jobs.
The government sector lost 1,500 jobs.
The monthly unemployment rate is reported by the department's Office of Employment and Population Statistics.
