Another big-man TD! Watch Miami's Christian Wilkins haul in TD pass vs. Bengals

Big-man touchdowns have been quite the holiday gift idea for 2019.

On Saturday, we saw the Buffalo Bills throw a trick-play TD pass to 320-pound Dion Dawkins. The Miami Dolphins followed suit on Sunday with their own beefy TD recipient.

Miami drew up quite the clever spin on this riff by hitting Christian Wilkins on a 1-yard TD pass to open up the scoring in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Dolphins’ first-round pick might be spry, but we’re talking about a 315-pound man here. Still, Wilkins is no stranger to the end zone, having rushed for two TDs and catching another in college at Clemson. This is also a man who can bust out acrobatics at a moment’s notice.

Even so, Wilkins almost boffed the TD grab on Sunday. They ruled he crossed the end zone, but Wilkins almost didn’t haul in the pass after being hit by Bengals safety Jessie Bates III.

The play officially goes down as a catch, a fumble and a recovery for the score. Hey, however you get it done, it counts the same.

This season, Wilkins is believed to be the sixth player 300 pounds or heavier to score a TD. And in doing so, he joined some rare big-man air.

Wilkins turned 24 years old on Friday, so it could be a birthday gift or a pre-Christmas present from the Miami coaching staff.
