Amp up the festivities with these holiday coffee recipes

What better way to warm yourself up during the winter holiday than with a festive and cozy coffee? While the tried-and-true classics are always in season, sometimes you want to keep things as festive as possible right down to your cup of joe. If you’re looking for the perfect morning pick-me-up, here are five holiday coffee recipes that will lighten your spirits.

Traveling home for the holidays? Here are 4 things you need to do right now

1. Eggnog latte

Eggnog lovers will definitely want to try this caffeinated version. Begin by adding espresso and sugar to a glass, and then froth. Next, pour in hot eggnog followed by hot milk. Top it off with a sprinkling of nutmeg, and enjoy!

2. Peppermint bark Kit Kat latte

Kit Kats and coffee make quite the pair. TikToker @everything_delish begins by placing part of a limited edition peppermint bark Kit Kat on top of the glass before pouring hot coffee over it until the chocolate breaks apart and falls into the glass. Next, she stirs the coffee and chocolate, then adds frothed milk. Finally, she tops it off with extra foam and Kit Kat shavings, then garnishes with half a Kit Kat.

3. Sugar cookie oat milk iced latte

This beverage is perfect for a cozy afternoon by the fireplace. First, add butter, cane sugar, coconut sugar, water, vanilla extract and almond extract to a pan, and cook until it comes to a boil. Once cool, pour about half an inch of the mixture into a glass and then add your coffee. Next, pour oat milk in a separate glass filled with ice, add the coffee, and stir.

4. Peppermint mocha cold brew

For those who like to keep their coffee cold no matter the season, this holiday coffee recipe is worth a try. The beautiful beverage involves fresh cold brew over ice combined with oat milk, creating a lovely swirl effect. This is followed by a blend of milk frothed with peppermint extract, cacao powder and maple syrup.

5. Snickerdoodle latte

What could be better than a cross between cookies and coffee? First, add espresso followed by frothed snickerdoodle creamer and cinnamon to a glass. Top off with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and then garnish with a cinnamon stick. Bottoms up!
