Amber Riley, star of Glee and winner of Dancing with the Stars, joined In The Know to dish on her skincare secrets for glowing skin.

The actress changes her routine based on the weather and has been using this six-step regimen for six months. Her skin looks pretty much flawless — here’s how to get it.

Step 1: Cleanse with Buttah Skin Cleanser

Riley was sure to kick her routine off by washing the day away with Black-owned beauty brand Buttah Skin.

“I do not go to bed with makeup on,” Riley said. “That is the no-no. That is the number one thing that I picked up on set. One night and you’ll have a breakout.”

Step 2: Apply a serum, like Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair

She patted — not rubbed — the serum into her skin. Riley also noted not to forget your neck when applying your favorite products.

“It’s really good for lines. I get smile lines and that drives me absolutely insane,” she said.

For the actress hydration is key, so she was sure to spritz on Mario Badescu’s facial spray with lavender, aloe and chamomile in between each step.

Step 3: Hydrate with Radha Beauty Rosehip Oil

Riley used rosehip oil, which is a natural alternative to retinol because of its vitamin A and C content, to address hyperpigmentation.

“I have pretty normal skin but I do get dry patches here on my cheeks and I get discoloration,” she said. “Rosehip oil is really good with hydrating without making it feel like you have too much on your face and it also helps with discoloration.”

Step 4: Gently dab on eye cream, like Josie Maran’s Argan Milk Devotion

“When I wake up in the morning I look like somebody punched me,” she joked. “I look like I was fighting in my sleep.”

She placed a little of the cream on the back of her hand and then tapped it under her eyes.

Step 5: Seal it all in with the Buttah Skin Facial Shea Butter moisturizer

Riley admitted shea butter can have a thick consistency that makes her face hot, but the results are worth it.

“Shea butter literally comes from the skin of Jesus. You cannot tell me anything different,” she said.

Step 6: Don’t forget the lips! The finishing touch of Vaseline

She finished her routine off by dabbing classic Vaseline on her lips.

“I think the key to flawless skin. Sorry white people that’s just the way that I feel,” Riley joked, before adding, “Sleep and being a good person.”
