The Colgate Optic White Overnight pen is a go-to for many Amazon shoppers for whiter-looking teeth. With over 23,000 customer ratings and best-selling ranking, it’s one of the most popular teeth whitening gels floating around on Amazon — and for good reason.

For starters, it claims to remove “15 years of stains” in just one week thanks to a serum of three percent hydrogen peroxide gel and three other key ingredients. Not to mention, the pen is a great solution for sensitive teeth. According to the product description, the serum is gentle and safe on your teeth’s enamel.
Plus, the pen is super easy to use. Just click the end button and use the bristles to coat the serum. As a bonus, the pen comes with a holding stand and is good for up to 35 nightly treatments.
One five-star reviewer compared the Colgate pen to whitening strips.
“I have used whitening strips, which I found to be cumbersome — plus, they really irritated my gums,” they wrote. “I didn’t think this pen would work, but it’s wonderful. [It’s] very easy to use. [There’s] no trace of it in my mouth/breath when I go to bed. After a month, there is a very noticeable difference in my smile. It has not irritated my gums at all.”
Another shopper expressed a similar sentiment while adding how comfortable the whitening formula was to use.
“I have very sensitive teeth, so whitening products can be very tricking for me,” they wrote. “I was apprehensive that it would be too strong, like some of the strip whitening I had previously used where my teeth were uncomfortable for a few days afterwards. [But] not with this Colgate whitening Pen. No pain or discomfort at all.”
However, not all reviewers experienced such extreme results. Some shoppers noticed a “clumpy” consistency when applying the serum. But as mention in the product description, clumps may occur due to rapid drying.
