Amanda Ribas vs. Angela Hill pulled from UFC Fight Night due to COVID-19 protocols

With just hours to go before UFC Fight Night, another bout was pulled from the event. Amanda Ribas and Angela Hill will not fight as expected, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

The strawweight bout was taken off the card due to COVID-19 protocols, according to Raimondi. UFC officials confirmed the fight was removed from the card. There's hope Hill vs. Ribas will happen in the future.

Hill and Ribas both made weight Friday, and engaged in a staredown in anticipation of the fight.

Three fights pulled from UFC Vegas 26

Hill and Ribas being pulled means three fights have been taken off the card at UFC Vegas 26. Philipe Lins had to withdraw from his fight with Ben Rothwell after Lins was not medically cleared to compete. Ryan Benoit had to pull out of his fight with Zarrukh Adashev after Benoit failed to make weight, and was sent to the hospital after having trouble standing on the scale.

With those three fights being pulled from the card, there will only be nine bouts at the event. While that's disappointing, at least the main event, a flyweight bout between Marina Rodriguez and Michelle Waterson will still happen.
