Aldi is putting on sale entire cases of wine – that's six bottles – for just $12.99.

The supermarket chain is selling its Six of One Sauvignon Blanc or Shiraz Cabernet for that price from Wednesday for a limited time.

The wine will be available in NSW, ACT, Victoria and WA stores. Queensland and South Australian customers will miss out due to alcohol licensing restrictions.

Despite the price, online reviews of Six of One have been positive.

"A cheap red wine from Aldi that works out to be $2.17 a bottle – punches above its weight for price," said Nicholas Fudge on Vivino, giving it three out of five stars.

Some of Aldi's other wines have been awarded prizes in the past, like its $6.99 One Road Shiraz, which won a gold medal in 2017.
