Aldi’s flogging a $149 barista-quality coffee machine
When it comes to savings tips, the one that really grinds my gears is when I’m told to ‘just cut out coffee’.
While, in truth, cutting out my daily almond-milk-flat-white ($4.20) could save me over $1,500 per year, is there anything better than a morning cuppa on your way to work?
The answer is: yes.

Alas, the German Gods have answered our prayers and bestowed upon us a $149 barista-quality coffee machine, to be available at Aldi on 12 October.
The stainless steel machine comes with a thermoblock heating system, a single and double cup advanced crema system, a drip tray with stainless steel grid and even a 500-millilitre stainless steel milk jug.
You can even rest assured your milk will be steamed and frothed with the machine’s swivel steam wand.
The kit also includes two cleaning aids, one measuring spoon, a stainless steel portafilter and two stainless steel filters.
The price is hundreds below a Smeg Espresso Machine, which will set you back $399, and cheaper than a De’Longhi Nespresso Machine ($299),
Enjoy your new-found savings.
