Aldi Australia is selling a range of remote work accessories as part of its Saturday 14 March special buys promotion, just as increasing numbers of Australians are required to set up a home office.

The coronavirus, or Covid-19 crisis, has seen offices like Twitter, King & Wood Mallesons and Dropbox shut in Australia with workers taking up remote work arrangements.

Additionally, Australians recently returned from overseas and those who suspect they may have the respiratory illness are also self-isolating, with others still choosing to stay home to flatten the curve of the coronavirus spread.

Earlier this week Harvard epidemiologist William Hanage said “everyone who can work from home should work from home”.

And Aldi hasn’t skipped a beat, choosing to launch a remote-work-themed special buys on Saturday.

Shoppers can pick up a Belkin Ultimate Lite Keyboard Case for $49.99, used for iPads.

The German giant is also selling computer accessories including micro USB to USB-A cables, lightning headphones adaptors, HDMI cables and earphones for $9.99.

And if multiple members of the household need to work from home, Aldi’s also selling a 6-way surge protector with six outlets and four USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port for $29.99.
