These affordable under-cabinet lights will make your kitchen look more expensive, according to TikTok

Buying or even renting a home may be expensive, but so is furnishing it. Luckily, one of TikTok’s hottest trends is sharing hacks for making your space look expensive for less, particularly when it comes to lighting. Lighting is an important part in making your home look more expensive. According to TikToker and interior designer Julie Sousa of @the_avantgarde, you should have five to seven lighting points in each room, from ambient lighting to task lighting.

If your kitchen is lacking, another TikToker and self-proclaimed DIY mom @beingtheblooms swears by adding under-cabinet lights to your kitchen.

Amazon carries a few options, but the SZOKLED Wireless Under Cabinet Lights are only $40.99 for a pack of four, and they’re renter-friendly (or commitment-phobe friendly). For one, they have a peel-and-stick magnet that attaches under the cabinet. Once you stick the magnet on, you can attach your light to the magnet. The lights are also rechargeable, so they don’t have any hardwiring or ugly cords to plug in. When you need to recharge a light, simply remove it, charge it and re-stick it to the magnet. However, a single charge should last you about 10 to 12 hours.

These lights come with a remote control.

The SZOKLED Wireless Under Cabinet Lights come with a power button on each strip, a remote control and a built-in timer for turning them on and off. You could have them go on automatically at night or turn them on just when you’re cooking, it’s up to you.

Additionally, you can use the remote to adjust the brightness and choose between warm or cool lighting.

More than 1,700 people have given these under-cabinet lights 5 out of 5 stars, with one reviewer calling them “a must buy if you need extra light.”

“This product is by far one of the best ones I’ve bought,” wrote another reviewer. “With this product I love the fact that they are rechargeable and super easy to install. And the price is actually good considering you receive four LED lights. Not to mention it comes with a remote so you can control how you want the lights to be. They’ll add a very nice and modern look to anything you add it to (in my case the kitchen).”

While you can place these lights in your kitchen to make it look more expensive, you could also use them in your closet, under decorative shelves and more. Either way, with these lights, it doesn’t cost a lot upgrade your space.
