Adele has taken part in a fun sketch for British Vogue in which she has to identify famous foods while blindfolded.

The singer, 33, posted the video on her Instagram which was shot around the same time she appeared on the cover of the fashion bible earlier this month.

She explained to viewers she is about to embark on the Great British Taste Test where she has to identify familiar British classics without being able to see.

First, she is presented with a full English breakfast then a pickled egg and finally fish and chips.

The singer - who released her first music in six years last week - seemed very excited to be presented with the fry up, though confessed she “doesn’t love” a pickled egg.

Finally she identified fish and chips before the clip comes to an end.

On Sunday, it was revealed Adele’s comeback single is on course to have the biggest opening week for a song in the UK singles chart this year. It secured the top spot in the process.

As of Sunday, the singer-songwriter’s new track, Easy On Me had amassed 70,000 chart sales in its first 48 hours - according to the Official Chart Company.

The track is currently outperforming the top 10 songs on the chart combined - including Sir Elton John and Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) which is currently at number one.

The singer released the single on October 15 with the full album, entitled 30, due for release on November 19.

In the run-up to the release of the single, the singer-songwriter spoke frankly to Vogue about her split from charity boss husband Simon Konecki in 2019.

She also said the album is her attempt at explaining her divorce to eight-year-old son Angelo.

The single has garnered three, four and five-star reviews from many UK publications.

Among the reviewers, chief music critic at the Daily Telegraph Neil McCormick awarded it five stars and describing it as a “heartfelt comeback” and a “thing of beauty and wonder”.
