If you’re not used to cooking a lot, you probably will be on Whole30. It’s the only way to really know what’s going into your food. However, with these kitchen tools, cooking is easy, and sticking with Whole30 is even easier.

Whole30's goal is to get you to eat only real "whole" foods for 30 days (hence the name) — no processed foods or sugar. The plan also removes grains, legumes, dairy, alcohol, baked goods and sweet treats. The program refers to itself as an "elimination diet" to help you discover the foods that make you feel blah and the ones that make you feel your best.

Online grocery retailer, Thrive Market, has a whole section dedicated to Whole30-compliant foods (and a starter kit) if you’re having trouble identifying what you can and can’t eat while following the plan.

There are also countless cookbooks loaded with Whole30-approved recipes. You can check out the basics in “The Whole30: The 30-Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom,” a book written by the program’s founder, Melissa Hartwig Urban. If you’re tight on time, check out books for fast and easy Whole30 recipes or Whole30 meal prep,

Still, even with an understanding of the rules, if you need help in the kitchen, these kitchen tools can help you make your Whole30 meals. And with the right tools, you can do anything.

1. Glasslock Food Storage Containers Set, $19.99+

You’re more likely to stick to the plan when you have healthy, prepared food already on hand. Meal prep at the beginning of the week and store meals in these microwave and freezer-safe containers.

2. SodaStream Fizzi One-Touch Sparkling Water Maker, $99.99

Whole30 strictly prohibits sugar — added, artificial and natural sugar — and alcohol. If you miss drinking soda or craft cocktails, make yourself sparkling water with a SodaStream. You can add flavor with the squeeze of a lemon wedge, fresh berries or muddled mint.

3. Always Pan, $145

If you’re in need of a new pan, make it the Always Pan by Our Place. Its nonstick design requires less oil when cooking, and it comes with a custom steamer basket for making crisp veggies, shrimp and more. It also has a nesting spoon rest and pour spout for reducing mess. (The brand recently launched a new color too!)

Use it for cooking meals fast or switch it to slow cooker-mode and let food simmer all day long. Tip: This cookbook provides Whole30 slow cooker and Instant Pot recipes.

7. OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer, $16.99

Easily add a little lemon to freshly steamed veggies, fish or water with a citrus squeezer. It can help make sure you get out all of the lemon juice and keep the seeds from sneaking into your dish.
