But if you’re looking to make that time a little more useful, Yahoo Finance has dug up five podcasts you should definitely tune in to to get your brain going in the morning and better your finances.
1. Uncensored Money
Hosted by Melissa Browne, financial advisor and author of cult book Unf*ck Your Finances, this podcast is a great way for women to get to know their money better.
Browne chats to 12 women about their money story in a bid to get the finance conversation going, because Browne claims it’s something women tend not to talk about.
She strongly believes finance is a feminist issue, and enlists strong female figures, like the senior managing director of State Street Global Advisors, Olivia Engel, to talk about the wage gap and the role money and power holds in our society.
2. My Millennial Money
Described as “the Hamish and Andy” of finance, Glen James and John Pidgeon chat about millennial money matters in a funny and light-hearted way.
Their witty banter is easy listening for a morning commute to work, and even easier after a long day at work.
They cover a range of issues affecting millennials like moving out of home for the first time, or choosing whether to invest in shares or property.
They’ve interviewed the likes of ANZ’s deputy CEO Alexis George and Greater Western Sydney Giant’s Adam Kennedy, and accept questions from listeners too.
3. Listen Money Matters
This podcast is a self-proclaimed “no BS approach to managing your money effectively”, and offers an educational approach to finance.
It covers how-to areas like growing your income, investing your money, budgeting and clearing debt.
Their most popular podcasts include 16 realistic ways to make one million dollars, and Learn how to start and monetize a blog that earns over $400k a year.
4. Smart Passive Income
Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income podcast has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times and Lifehacker for its advice on blogging strategies, income sources and marketing tips and tricks.
While Flynn admits he isn’t a millionaire, he has supported his family 100 per cent with passive income generate online, and only works a few hours a week.
So, if you’re planning on starting a side-hustle, or are trying to get your online business off the ground, this is definitely the podcast for you.
5. We Study Billionaires
Founded and hosted by Preston Pysh and Stig Broderson, We Study Billionaires quite literally studies billionaires, and shares its findings with its audience.
Pysh and Broderson have studied the likes of Warren Buffet, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey and Silicon Valley’s Reid Hoffman and reported back their valuable lessons on investing.
