$2,700-a-week The Block homes hit rental market
Last year’s The Block series saw the St Kilda terrace homes at The Oslo sell for record highs - and they’ll be rented for record highs too.
Mitch and Mark’s 38A Grey Street, Andy and Deb’s 38C Grey Street, and El’ise and Matt’s 38D Grey street were listed for rent last week, with asking prices of between $2,400 and $2,700 - and a bond of $13,500.
St Kilda’s rental median price is $780, making these big-ticket homes worth almost four times the amount.

All three homes are rented fully furnished, with real estate agency Hocking Stuart Albert Park expecting executives on work secondments to Melbourne to move in.
“I’m expecting that there may be some shorter leases of maybe nine or 10 months because people relocating for business is usually shorter term,” they told Domain.
Tess and Luke Struber’s winning 38B Grey street, which sold for $3.62 million ($630,000 above the reserve) to a Melbourne barrister is not currently for lease.
