£106.8m British record signing Enzo Fernandez rated cheaper than Lingard, Gallagher and Fred on FPL

Enzo Fernandez will enter Fantasy Premier League with a miserly price tag of £5million.

The new Chelsea signing cost a whopping £106.8m when signing on transfer deadline day from Benfica, a new British record.

But the FPL boffins have decided to cut his price drastically in comparison to many other midfielders in the game.

Fernandez’s base price is the same as new teammates N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, although both of their stock has fallen due to injury issues this season, as well as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Denis Zakaria.

In fact, the Argentine’s price is lower than fellow signing Noni Madueke (£5.5m) and Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher (£5.7m).

For the uninitiated, FPL points are scored with goals, assists, clean sheets and minutes on the pitch, as well as bonus points for the top trio of players in each game.

Fernandez has a perfectly reasonable record of four goals and seven assists in all competitions for Benfica this season, as well as a goal and assist at the World Cup.

It means he will likely be a popular pick ahead of Chelsea facing Fulham at home on Friday night - if he can make his debut - with more expensive options including Jesse Lingard (£5.4m), Fred (£5.1m) and Harry Wilson (£5.7m).
