Best Buy
Historically, Memorial Day sales have been a prime time to cash in on appliance deals, and this year, Best Buy's discount event is continuing the tradition.
Through June 2, Best Buy is hosting a Major Appliance Sale with discounts up to 30 percent off on select top buys. Sale products include select refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves and more.
Home Depot
Speaking of appliance sales, Home Depot is getting in on the Memorial Day savings trend, too. The home improvement giant is offering 10 percent off appliances of $396 or more, plus the opportunity to save up to 20 percent with special buys. As an added incentive, the retailer also provides free delivery on most appliances.
For an example of what your savings could be, consider the Whirlpool top load washer and electric dryer. These appliances are regularly $499 each, but as part of a special buy deal, they've been reduced to $398 each. Buy both and you'll save $202 on the pair.
Chevrolet
If you're in the market for a major purchase (one even more major than an appliance), you'll be sure to find plenty of car sales this holiday weekend.

Memorial Day is more than just one day at hardware store Harbor Freight Tools. From May 22 through 25, the retailer is hosting a four-day sale event. Visit the store's website to clip some of the limited-time "super coupons."
Advertised deals include 20 percent off any one eligible item, a free 27 LED portable flashlight with any purchase, a free electric fly swatter with any purchase and a three-piece solar decorative LED lights for $9.99 (regularly $29.99), among others.
