Microsoft, BlackRock Plan $30 Billion AI Infrastructure Fund

BlackRock will launch an artificial-intelligence fund with software giant Microsoft worth around $30 billion to build data centers and energy projects. The AI partnership will likely feed the growing hunger for computing capacity, as well as fund infrastructure to create new sources of energy for these facilities, which consume large amount of power. BlackRock Global Infrastructure Partners, Microsoft, and MGX an AI and advanced technology investor, announced the Global AI Infrastructure Investment Partnership in a joint statement late Tuesday.
