    Tiger fined for email spam

Tiger Airways has agreed to pay the media regulator $110,000 for failing to remove customers from marketing email lists.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has accepted an enforceable undertaking from Tiger Airways after its Australian operation was found to have held customer details on marketing lists despite repeated requests to be removed.

The authority had also issued several warnings to the airline.

Tiger has now committed to ensuring its unsubscribe facilities are functional and effective.
