Pair fined over coal mine protest

Two Brisbane environmental activists have been fined after a coal mine protest on southern Queensland's Darling Downs last month.

Samuel Robb and Bradley Smith appeared in Oakey Magistrates Court on Friday, charged with trespassing.

The duo scaled a coal stockpile at the New Hope Coal loading facility in Jondaryan in October.

Both were found guilty, with Robb fined $300 and Smith fined $450.
