    Minister investigates developer's complaints

Tasmania's Infrastructure Minister is investigating aborted plans for a multi-million dollar development on Bruny Island.

Developer John Grunseth says he has abandoned a project at Roberts Point, next to the island's ferry terminal, after 12-years of planning hearings and a Supreme Court appeal.

He says the Infrastructure Department is demanding he pay for a public road that an engineer has found is not needed.

David O'Byrne says he has meetings today about the development.

"We need to work through the issue about making sure that access to a public road is appropriate," he said.

"Also we're working with the Kingborough Council, I'm meeting with the Mayor, to discuss the matter."
