Two people are dead and a number of others injured after a string of road crashes across Queensland overnight.
A 54-year-old man died and five people have been injured in a serious crash on the Sunshine Coast.
Police say a prime-mover driving in the wrong direction collided with a car on the Parklands Exit at Nambour shortly after 10:30pm (AEST) last night.
Another car then smashed into the wreckage.
Five people, including two children, have been taken to the Nambour Hospital.
A man and a woman, both 28 years old, have serious injuries.
Two children, aged nine and five, and a 50-year-old man have non-life threatening injuries.
In Ipswich, west of Brisbane, a man has died after his car left the Cunningham Highway and crashed at Fraser View early this morning.
Police believe he was suffering from a medical condition.
In the north Queensland city of Mackay two men, aged 29 and 30, are in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car in the city's south.
